Jeff McClure - President

Andrews Kurth: Partner, Litigation Section
Jeff is co-chair of the 2010-2011 GHSHRM Education Committee. He graduated summa cum laude and Order of the Coif from the Ohio State University Moritz School of Law in 1977. He served as Briefing Attorney to the Hon. John V. Singleton, Chief Judge for the Southern District of Texas Federal Court before entering private practice in 1979. During his over 30 years in practice, Jeff has focused on defending healthcare providers in addition to defending clients in toxic tort, products liability and other personal injury litigation. Jeff also has an extensive administrative health law practice, representing health care institutions, physicians, nurses and other health care providers before their respective licensing boards. He also advises healthcare clients on a wide variety of matters including insurance issues, compliance with HIPAA and other laws regulating the confidentiality of health care information, maintenance and protection of peer-review privileges, the Advance Directives Act, the Health Care Quality Improvement Act, EMTALA and other state and federal laws regulating health care providers and institutions. Jeff is a frequent speaker, having made presentations for the State Bar of Texas, GHSHRM, various County Medical Societies and Houston area medical and law schools on a variety of litigation and health law topics. He has served on the GHSHRM Board in the past in several capacities including Secretary and Director and also served on the GHSHRM Education committee for ten years in the 1990's. email

Amanda J. Mount, RN, BSN, JD, CPHRM - Past President

Willis: Senior Vice President, Houston Health Care Practice Leader
Amanda joined Willis as the health care practice leader for the Houston area in January of 2011. She was previously with Western Litigation, Inc. as a claims attorney where she managed claims for an national emergency physician group. Amanda also gained hands on experience while with The Methodist Hospital System in the claims and litigation/risk management department, where she managed various hospital risks as well as had primary responsibility over The Methodist Hospital Physicians Organization, The Methodist Research Institute and the Graduate Medical Education program. She worked as an emergency room registered nurse prior to attending the University of Houston Law Center where she graduated in 2003. Amanda has been a member of and involved with the Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk Management since 2005. She has served as a director and as Vice President. She served on the education committee since joining and has been actively involved in the planning and organization of the annual education day and CPHRM course.

Randall Richardson - President Elect

Fulbright & Jaworski: Partner
Randall is a partner in the Houston office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P.  He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Baylor Law School.  Since becoming a lawyer in 2000, he has been an active GHSHRM member, and has served in various capacities on the Education Committee and the Board of Directors, most recently serving as the Secretary from 2009 - 2010.  An experienced health law litigator, Randall's legal career has focused on professional liability cases in defense of hospitals and hospital systems, physicians and physician groups.  Randall has also successfully handled numerous cases and appeals of significance to the Houston healthcare community.  When he is not practicing law or spending time with his family, Randall is an avid pilot and has hundreds of hours in various types of aircraft including the AT-6 Texan, Piper Cubs, and amphibious Super Cubs. email

Janet L. Hale, ARM - Vice President
Janet is a Managing Director of Alliant Healthcare Solutions and has 33 years of experience in insurance brokerage.  She works exclusively with healthcare clients and oversees a diverse portfolio that includes hospitals, integrated delivery systems, physician groups, academic medical institutions, and medical research firms. She specializes in captive reinsurance for large healthcare institutions, structuring alternative risk financing options, and detailed insurance policy coverage audits.  Prior to Alliant, Janet was an EVP at Jardine Lloyd Thompson, and was responsible for intellectual capital, market strategies, US financial security, and client brokerage for JLT's U.S operation.  Her experience also includes serving as Managing Director of Healthcare Syndication for Aon, with oversight over all the healthcare professional liability placements within Aon and Texas Healthcare Practice Leader for Willis.  Prior to the insurance industry, Janet was an instructor at the University of Missouri.  Janet was a Founding Member of GHSHRM (1986) and received the 2010 GHSHRM Outstanding Member Award.  She has served GHSHRM in many capacities including Treasurer and Co-Chair/ Chair of the Education Committee (2009 & 2010 Education Days). She holds BA and MA degrees from the University of Missouri. email

Leah Greene, JD, LLM - Secretary 

Kroger | Burrus: Senior Associate
Leah handles defense of healthcare liability claims as well as health law matters. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 1995. She graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1999 and earned a Masters in Health Law at the University of Houston Law Center in August 2008. Leah has been a member of GHSHRM for about 5 years and has served on the Education Committee of GHSHRM since 2009. Leah was named a Texas "Rising Star" in 2009. She also serves as Secretary of Bo's Buddies, the young professional organization that supports Bo's Place. email

James Brent - Treasurer Elect

ESIS ProClaim: Marketing Manager
James has worked for ProClaim America since January 2001.  Originally, starting in the finance department and becoming manager of the department in 2002.  While acting as Finance Manager James handled all accounts payable and receivable, reconciled ProClaim's regular checking and payroll bank accounts, handled all employee expense reimbursements and was responsible for overseeing ProClaim's anti-fraud check verification system. In 2006, James moved into ProClaim's Marketing Department.  He is currently the Marketing Manager for ESIS ProClaim and is responsible for handling all client contract renewals, tracking and generating new leads for the marketing department, answering all requests for proposals and going on in-person presentations for potential clients. James has been a member of GHSHRM for four years. email

Allison Meier - Treasurer

Alliant Insurance Services: Senior Associate Producer 
Allison focuses on client development and service for healthcare systems, physician groups and hospitals. She has a large focus in developing and marketing new products and programs that assist healthcare organizations analyze new and emerging risks. Allison started her insurance career over 7 years ago with Liberty Mutual specializing in general property and casualty insurance sales. She advanced into a Business Sales Manager role before joining the Alliant team in 2008. Allison holds a B.B.S in Marketing, with an emphasis in Accounting and Sociology, from the University of Nebraska. In 2009 Allison received her MBA with an emphasis in business consulting from University of Houston. She also holds her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation as well as her Property and Casualty Insurance license. Allison is a member of GHSHRM, ASHRM and HFMA. She is currently serving her third year on the GHSHRM education day committee which includes chairing the reception sub-committee and helping promote sponsorships through being a participant of the sponsorship sub-committee. email


Erin E. Lunceford - Director

Sprott, Rigby, Newsom and Robbins, Lunceford & Bell P.C.
Erin graduated cum laude from the University of Colorado in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  Following graduation, she worked in the health care and pharmaceutical sales industry for two years.  She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1988 from the University of Houston Law Center.  Erin is currently a shareholder with the law firm Sprott, Rigby, Newsom and Robbins, Lunceford & Bell, P.C., where she has practiced since 1999.  She obtained her Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law in 1998 and was recertified in 2003 and 2008. She is also a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas and was recognized as a Texas "Super Lawyer" in 2008 and 2009.  Erin's principal area of practice is personal injury trial law, specializing in the defense of health care clients. Her professional experience includes first chair responsibility for the litigation of medical malpractice, premises liability, auto, commercial transportation, construction, products liability, DTPA, professional negligence, and wrongful death claims.  She has successfully tried over 28 cases to verdict throughout state courts in Texas and has handled over 24 appeals in both state and federal courts. Erin has been an active member of The Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk Management ("GHSHRM") for the last 8 years.  She was the legal update speaker for GHSHRM's annual Education Day in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009. She has also been a member of ASHRM since 2006 and served as a faculty member at the 2009 annual conference, presenting "Criminal Actions with Civil Consequences in the Healthcare Setting."

Bridgett Matthes - Director

Ebanks Taylor Horne L.L.P: Participating Associate

Bridgett has been a GHSHRM member since 2003, serving on the Education Day Committee since then, as well as chair the Sponsorship Subcommittee for the last five years. Bridgett represents health care providers in malpractice and board actions across Texas. She has spoken at CLE and healthcare provider seminars and was recently recognized as a 2010 Texas Rising Star-Super Lawyer by "Texas Monthly". Bridgett is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and Houston Bar Association, through which she has chaired the IDEA Committee (5th grade anti-drug program) and been member to it and the Speakers Bureau since 2003. She is also a fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation and a member of Defense Research Institute, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and American Bar Association. She also serves as a Child Advocate (volunteer guardian ad litem for children placed in foster care) and as a director on the South Texas College of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors. email

Charlotte Spence Koenig, BSN, RN - Director

Memorial Hermann Hospital System: Clinical Risk Management Specialist
Charlotte previously worked for the law firms of Johnson, Trent, West & Taylor; Kroger, Myers, & Frisby; Hanen, Alexander, Johnson & Spalding; and Fulbright & Jaworski, where her role as a nurse paralegal included claims investigation, assessment of liability exposure and standard of care issues. Charlotte collaborated with co-counsel, facility-based risk managers, experts and defendants to facilitate the resolution of claims. Areas of concentration included medical malpractice, products liability, and personal injury. Charlotte's clinical background includes operating room nursing at St. Luke's Episcopal / Texas Children's Hospital and Memorial Southwest Hospital as a staff nurse, as well as in the education and management roles. While in the clinical area, she gained national certification as an operating room nurse. Charlotte was also a Clinical Educator for Houston Baptist University's ADN Nursing program. email

Craig Morgan - Director

Kelsey Seybold Clinic - Senior Risk Management Specialist 
Craig has 15 years in the Health Care Risk Management and legal field. Craig's career in Risk Management began at St. Luke's Episcopal Health System, where she held the position of Director of Risk Management for four years. Craig has been a member of GHSHRM for over 15 years. She previously served on the GHSRM board for five consecutive years in positions that included Treasurer and President. Additionally she has served on multiple GHSHRM committees, and was an active member of the Education Committee for over 10 years. She has spoken at the ASHRM Annual Conference and the GHSHRM Annual Education Day. email
